Beginner Skate & Skateboard Camp Ages 8-15 Class # 2182 Sess. 1: June 23-28 Class #2183 Sess. 2: July 14-19 5-6:30pm at the Bristol Skate Park. Learn to roll front & back, how & why to wear pads & helmets. Learn basics of rolling using ramps, gaining coordination and the basics of grinding. Golf for Teens & Adults Teens & Adults Class # 2169 June 5,12,19 Thursdays from 5:30- 7:30pm at the Cedar Knoll Country Club. PGA Golf Professional, Barry Churchill will show you all aspects of this life long sport. Learn fundamentals show to grip, aiming, and stance along with getting the ball airborne and controlling direction. Learn basic principals of pitching, chipping, and putting in addition to basic rules and etiquette of golf. Fee: $85 Each player must purchase their own range balls for each class. Football Camp Grades 3-8 for Boys & Girls Class # 2175 July 21-25, 9am-Noon (rain or shine) at Mt. Abe practice field. Basic football skills, positions and techniques are discussed and reinforced through games & drills. The focus is to provide beginner ages with an introduction to the game of football, various positions and fundamentals. The older age group will refine skills and techniques. Play Soccer Ages 6-13 Class # 2195 Aug. 4-8 , 9am - Noon at Bristol Recreation Field. PLAY SOCCER is one of the most popular soccer camps on the East Coast. We guarantee we will improve every player that attends a PLAY SOCCER Summer Camp regardless of age or ability. We also guarantee they will have a great time doing it. Play Soccer reinforces great team spirit, foster friendships and create community awareness. Please bring a soccer ball if you have one. Vermont Voltage Soccer Academy Ages 5-18 Class # 2207 July 14-18, 9am - Noon at Bristol Recreation Field. Enjoy the opportunity to learn all aspects of soccer in a challenging, competitive environment from a professional soccer team. The focus will be on the development, improvement and refinement of basic soccer playing. Fee: $100 per child ($90 for additional family members) Fee includes a soccer ball, t-shirt, water bottle, a Vermont Voltage poster and a ticket to a Vermont Voltage soccer game. Twist & Shout Cheer Camp! Grades 1-6 Class #2180 June 30 - July 4, 9:30am-Noon at Bristol Recreation Field. Join us for a fun & event filled week! Campers will play games that will teach body awareness, positioning and muscle tightness for great motions. You will have fun learning jumps, cartwheels & rolls. You will work on cheers and dances and preparing routines for marching in the Fourth of July parade on Friday!. Fee: $65 plus $15 for T-shirt & poms Instructors: Mt Abe Varsity Cheer coaches, Darla Senecal, Kara Sorenson ,Cricket Emmons and members of Mt Abe Varsity Cheer Team.
Scuba Diving Ages 17 & Up Class # 2220 May 5- May 21, Mon. & Wed. at Mt. Abe High School. Class time 6-8pm then Pool time 8-10pm. Scuba diver certification class. Each session is one half classroom and one half pool activity. Earn a lifetime, internationally recognized scuba certification. Fee:$325 (includes instruction, text book, DVD, use of scuba gear throughout the class and for open water dives and certification. Try Scuba! Ages 12 to Adult Class # 2221 May 17, 10am-Noon at the Mt Abe Pool. Here is your chance to try this awesome sport. Waterfront Diving Center will give folks a brief orientation to the equipment and then will be taken on a "dive" in the fun, safe, environment of the pool. Fee: $20 per person
