Beaver’s River Camp
Ages 8 & up
Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm at Sycamore Park (formally known as Tin City)

A week of fun and games along the beautiful New Haven River. This camp offers hiking, swimming, rafting, tubing and crafts. Participants should be able walk short distances. The ability to swim is not needed however a great deal of time is spent in and around the water. Pre-registration required!
A letter will be sent from Ray a week before explaining the schedule and what to bring.
Fee: $135 Instructor: Ray Beaver, avid fisherman and social worker, who currently works at Spectrum Youth & Family Services
Wilderness Awareness Camp
Ages: 9-13
Class #2649 July 12-16, 9am-2pm
Class meets at Bristol Wilderness Cliffs in Lincoln.
Please call or visit our website for directions. This outdoor adventure-based camp builds skills through animal tracking, playful games and stories. Be ready to explore the swamps, fields, the woods and more.
This camp will give past campers a chance to test their skills learned over the last few years. It will also give new campers and old, new skills and experiences. Highlight of this camp will be 2 overnight and a trek across Bristol Cliffs. (Weather permitting.)
Fee: $110

Club lead this great camp.
Directions to Bristol Cliffs Wilderness Area:
Starting from the corner of Main and North St. Bristol (by the traffic light) head east towards Lincoln about 2 miles. After the bridge turn right and head up the road to Lincoln (road borders New Haven River). About 2miles you will see a street sign –York Hill- Take a right. Head all the way up the hill about 11/2 miles and when the road start to take a sharp left turn, look to the right and you will see a small parking lot and a sign that says Bristol Wilderness Cliffs Area.
Learn to Skateboard
Grades 3 & up
Class # 2675 June 5- June 26, Saturdays, 10-11:30am at the Bristol Skate Park
Learn the basics of skateboarding: How to roll front and back, How to ride ramps and other features. Including fundamental tricks.
Fee: $40 (helmets & pads required)
Instructor: Bryn Paul, has been skating for years and is eager to share his knowledge with others.
NOTE: Schedule subject to change due to skateboard construction.
Beginner Skateboard Camps
Ages 8-15
Class # 2697 Sess. 1: July 19-23
Class #2698 Sess. 2: Aug. 16-20
10am-Noon at the Bristol Skate Park
Learn the basics of skateboarding: How to roll front and back, How to ride ramps and other features, including fundamental tricks. All this in one week!
Note: All students must wear kneepads, elbow pads and helmets. Fee: $75

Ages 9 & Up

at the Bristol Rec. Field (Skating Rink)
Come have fun exploring circus arts! Learn the basics or develop more advanced skills in juggling, unicycling, walking globe and acrobatics (including mini trampoline). Class will follow students interests with daily group activities, fun warm ups and one on one training. All levels welcome!
Min: 8 Max: 12 Fee: $75
Instructor: Eric Denice can’t stop juggling, flipping around and practicing handstands. He finally got off his 6 foot tall unicycle to write this.
Girls' Nature Exploration
For girls ages 9-13
Class # 2699 June 21-25 Class # 2701 Aug. 9-13
9am-Noon (place to meet still to be determined)
This camp focuses on connecting girls with each other and the world around them. Come build shelters, make matchless fire, play games, search for wild edibles, make dyes from native plants, track animals, and explore the natural landscape!
Fee: $75
Instructor: Katie McEachen, former member of Mt. Abe Tracking Club, has worked in several wilderness camps and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for nature with others.
